Our last trip of 2015 was also our first trip of 2016 as we headed south for seven days in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Siem Reap is best known for its large collection of temple ruins, highlighted by the well-restored Angkor Wat and the tree-wrapped structures of Ta Prohm. The lively city center is crowded with tourists from all over the world, taking in the souvenir shops, restaurants and pubs that have sprung up in the two decades since the end of the brutal reign of the Khmer Rogue.
